Summary 
Twenty  Four years experience as IT professional serving in a diversity of roles and responsibilities ranging from project manager, IT Architect, Systems Engineer and Software Developer:
  • Eight  years - As Systems Engineer.  Most recently with IBM where I have served as lead SE and have achieved notable success ,  including SE Journal case study published on one of my projects.
  • Seven  years - as IT Architect for the development of- Internet/Intranet applications.   Most recently with IBM where I worked in the field as IT Architect on several important accounts like NY Times Digital, Wall  Stir. Journal, Universal Music Group.   In 2003 I achieved certification  as an IBM IT/Architect.
  • Two years as senior consulting manager. Including four years experience in the project management arena.  As senior manager in a small NYC consulting firm I assisted the company in growing from 8 to 100  plus employees  in three locations.   I played a key role in managing technical solutions and development of corporate methods and procedures for quality and  intellectual capital re-use.
  • Seven  years as developer (C, C++, Lotus Notes, VB, Java Script, HTML).  This experience ranged from low level coding  for PC Diagnostics and systems drivers for Notebook systems to advanced collaborative applications with Lotus and Web technologies.

With twenty four  years experience in the IT profession working in diverse roles ranging from Developer, Architect, Systems Engineer and Manager and having worked for several  years as a consultant successfully architecting and deploying complex systems for high profile companies in different industries.,  I have had the opportunity to fully grasp from an end to end prospective what  goes into the making of successful  IT projects.   This experience touching numerous industry sectors has culminated most recently in  IBM as an IT Architect and  Systems Engineer.   As IT Architect I have achieved industry wide recognition through Opent Group Certification currently holding  Master Architect status.   As Systems  Engineer in recent  years I have published articles in the Systems Engineering Journal and  IEEE. as well as internal IBM white papers.  These publications document measured success utilizing Systems Engineering methodology and /or provide guidelines on  how  Systems Engineering can be effectively used on projects.  I have also taught  the IBM Systems Engineering  methodology at  "boot camp" in Latin America.    I have also consistently worked to enhance the abilities of the organizations I worked for by helping define/refine business processes and tools that enhance collaboration and information sharing and provide measurements that allow for continued refinement.

As an Architect in IBM I have lead several commercial and internal initiatives including New York Times, Universal Music Group and Wall Street Journal.  In the financial arena I have worked as a consultant  engaging with several  major top financial  companies including,  American Express,  Merril Lynch , Prudential Securities in the NY Wall Stir. area. As a consultant I have also developed and managed solutions in the media industry for NY Times Digital, Wall Stir.. Journal and Universal Music Group.  

As Business Area Manager  I helped Binary Tree grow from 8 employees to 100 in a period of 2 years and was responsible for managing numerous projects  simultaneously.   Clients included American Express,  Merril Lynch, Best Foods   
UNICEF and  Center of Excellence for Humanitarian Assistance to mention a few.

    • Developed Software specification for internal development of Personal Computer diagnostic software. Was main architect for the product. Developed modular system that allowed for easy insertion of diagnostic modules without compiling code modules. Also developed system board and floppy disk modules for the PC 6386-SX and PC6386-DX systems.
    • Developed Faulty Memory SIMM Chip Locator software. This was a program that allowed field technicians to physically identify faulty memory chips. The program was deployed in the field and extensively utilized saving AT&T large sums of money since prior to the adoption of this program technicians were replacing all memory chips in faulty systems.
